Day 23: Your favorite Britney magazine cover.
This is one of the most iconic Britney pictures of all time. And the fact that David LaChapelle took it makes it even more awesome.
Day 23: Your favorite Britney magazine cover.
This is one of the most iconic Britney pictures of all time. And the fact that David LaChapelle took it makes it even more awesome.
Rarezas mías, I guess.
Day 21: Your favorite picture of Britney and her kids.
Do I need to say something? ♥
Day 20: Your favorite Britney website.
Um, I guess I don’t have a favorite website. I mean, when it comes to photos and stuff like that, fan websites are pretty good, but I don’t go there a lot since there’s always rumors about everything. So, I’ll go with britneyspears.com.
Day 19: Something of Britney you collect.
I’m not the collector kind of fan. But I do own some of her music and DVDs.
Day 18: A Britney song that makes you cry.
“Shadow” Britney Spears
This song has never actually made me cry, because I rarely cry while listening to songs (unless I’m really, really sad - and when that happens I pretty much cry with everything) but… these lyrics, they’re painful and they’re awfully true. There’s nothing worse than loving the idea of someone, a shadow.
Day 17: A Britney picture that makes you laugh.
These dorky faces are one of the many, many reasons I adore this woman.
Day 16: Your least favorite Britney photoshoot.
I love all of her shoots, so I’m just gonna go ahead and post one of my faves.
Britney Spears by James White (2003).
Day 15: Your favorite Britney quote.
“Do I know my life is weird? It’s all I’ve ever known. I don’t see it as being weird (…) I’m kind of stuck in this place and I’m like, ‘how do you deal?’ I just cope with it every day (…) It’s better not to feel anything at all and have hope than to feel the other way (…) It’s bad. I’m sad.”
- Britney: For the Record.
Day 14: Your favorite Britney song at the moment.
I don’t have a single favorite song atm, but I’ll post one of my favorites from Circus.
“Shattered Glass” Britney Spears.
You’re gonna see me in your dreams tonight
My face is gonna haunt you all the time
I promise that you gon’ want me back
When your world falls apart like shattered glass
Glass, glass, glass
Day 13: Your favorite Britney concert.
“The Onyx Hotel Tour” is, for me, the best Britney tour so far. I’ve always loved the whole concept of the Onyx stone being this world inside ourselves where “anything is possible”. And blending this concept into a sort of dark, magic hotel where “broken spirits roam in the hopeless abyss of heartache, knowing nothing of time and space”.
And I loved everything: the stage, the clothes, the interludes, all of it.
Since the very moment where Britney says “once you check in, you can’t check out” I can’t help but getting all excited, no matter how many times I watch it.
The first part with Toxic, in that sexy black outfit, totally shows a glimpse of just how amazing the show’s going to be. We go all the way through Overprotected, Boys & Showdown with great choreographies, until we reach the cabaret-like segment with reworked jazz and blues versions of …Baby One More Time, Oops!… I Did It Again & (You Drive Me) Crazy. Then slowing down with Everytime, just a second before going all wild and hot dancing to The Hook Up & I’m a Slave 4 U. She then pours her heart singing Shadow up in a swing (which is one of my favorite parts by the way). But we’ve seen nothing yet, as the best part is about to come with two sexy performances: Touch of My Hand, where we can see Britney and her dancers supposedly masturbating, and then Breathe On Me on a bed with one of her male dancers, simulating sexual practices. After that, she closes the act with Outrageous. The last section is more urban influenced, she wears street clothes while (I Got That) Boom Boom, then she leaves and comes back dressed in a red outfit to perform a remixed version of Me Against the Music.
Simply put: AMAZING.
Day 12: Your favorite Britney CD cover.
I just love her face <3.
Day 11: Your favorite Britney demo or unreleased song.
“Kiss U All Over” by Britney Spears.
If you take away that “I wanna kiss you all over” at the beginning in that awful, creepy voice, it’s really good. I would’ve loved to hear a finished version of this song. There are some pretty hot lines between the lyrics, which automatically gives the song a plus, at least for me. (Yes, I do have a “thing” for those kind of Britney songs. So what?)
Day 10: Whatever you’d like.
“Britney: For the Record” (2008).
Day 9: Your favorite Britney album.
“Blackout” (2007).
This album, well, is just amazing.
I remember when the demos first leaked, I was EXCITED as HELL. It had been years without Britney, everything around her was filled with drug rumors, shaved heads and baby custody issues. Everything was a mess.
Nodoby expected this great album. All the way from “Gimme More” from “Why Should I Be Sad”. It may not be the most “Britney” album per se, but it’s the most fun to listen to. You have craziness all around “Freakshow”, hotness and sex in “Get Naked” and “Ooh Ooh Baby”, and even a anti-paparazzi hymn on “Piece of Me”. Everything’s in there.
